The candidate will have hands on experience using current tools to detect and prevent Cross-site scripting (XSS), and SQL Injection as well as an in-depth understanding of authentication, and session management systems and their weaknesses and how they are best defended.

  • Attended a week long Solaris 8 bootcamp class provided by TechNow which was geared toward passing the Sun Certified Solaris Administrator (SCSA) exams for Solaris 8 and received a Certificate of Completion for that class.
  • Have passed Part I (CX-310-011) of the SCSA exam for solaris 8 which assumes in-depth knowledge of system concepts, the boot PROM, installation, initialization and shutdown, user administration, security, process control, file systems, files and directories, the boot process, disk configuration, format, backup and recovery, basic command syntax, editors, and remote connections.
  • Never took Part II (CX-310-012) of the SCSA exam for solaris 8 which assumes in-depth knowledge of client server relationships, Solaris OS network environment, Solaris OS syslog, disk management, Solaris OS pseudo file systems and swap space, NFS, AUTOFS, CACHEFS, naming services, NIS, role-based access control (RBAC), solaris management console, and JumpStart software automatic installation.
